Long time since I posted but HELLO :)

Hello my friends and hope you are all well.

As you can all see it's been rather a long time since I posted but there have been very good reasons as to why. I won't go into great detail but due to personal issues and health problems and lots of treatment and surgery I wasn't up to posting or doing any crafting. I am pleased to announce that the surgery went well and the treatment is now complete. As for the personal issues they are just about solved and I am so much happier. The past couple of days I've even taken to looking up what my favourite bloggers have been up to and this has inspired me to start thinking about projects I would like to undertake myself. Maybe my crafting mojo is returning???

I haven't made firm plans on when I will sit down and craft as tiredness overcomes me suddenly and I'm just going with what my body tells me I need to do. I have however managed to think about one particular project I would like to start within the next week or so - teachers thank you gift for my youngest daughter's teacher. Annabel has a fantastic teacher who has provided not only support for her during this testing time but also supported me which has been fantastic so an extra special gift is something I need to think about.

At present I am not currently a Stampin Up Demonstrator but watch this space as in a few months time I do plan on returning to Stampin Up. In the meantime if anyone would like to order anything from Stampin Up please contact me and I can hopefully put you in contact with someone who can help. I will of course keep you all informed of when I do return.

I am also now living in Devon - a very beautiful part of the UK. I have been here since January and very slowly it's starting to feel like home so returning to Stampin Up will hopefully provide me with the opportunity to meet new people and share my enthusiasm for crafting with others.

Hopefully I will be able to post once a week until I feel up to more and I will try and post at least one project a week - not only will this be lovely to share with you all but it will help me focus on something and help me relax whilst recovering.

Happy Crafting everyone and looking forward to getting back to what I started last year :)

Busy busy week.....

What a busy busy week I have ahead of me.

Today I've been to a friends house with two of her other friends and introduced her to Stampin' Up! Very informal, just took around some bits and bobs and let them play. We all had fun making a card, chatting, drinking tea, and of course eating cake (ssshhh don't tell anyone)!!! I left my friend swooning over the current Idea Book & Catalogue and making a wish list longer than my arm!!! Have to admit the new Idea Book & Catalogue is fantastic and if anyone would like to purchase one please Email me or call me. The cost is £5.95.

Tomorrow I'm off to another friends house for a day of crafting, and looking forward to it. My friend who I am visiting tomorrow is the friend who got me hooked on Stampin' Up! products and introduced me to the joy of stamping. So I'll be taking cake (yes more cake ssshhh) along tomorrow for us to enjoy. I love the days where I can craft for enjoyment with friends, but to be honest I just love crafting whether it be a workshop or for my own personal pleasure. If anyone is interested in holding a workshop in my area or surrounding areas please Email me.

Well Wednesday is a huge day for me!!! I have my first Craft Class and I must admit to feeling a bit nervous about it but on the other hand I am really looking forward to it! I am cutting cardstock tonight for the make and takes and I already have one of the designs for the cards done so tomorrow I will sort out the second design. I am also planning on demonstrating something as well, so watch this space for pictures of the make and takes and the demonstration that will be done. It's very exciting as some of the ladies attending the class have never crafted before so introducing them to something as lovely as this is great fun and I am sure they will all enjoy it.

I have nothing planned for Thursday so I might actually do the dreaded housework then or I might so some crafting! Mmmmm hard choice really!!!

Friday is very exciting, however, it does not involve crafting. It involves getting pampered and dressed up in a beautiful ball gown. I am attending a function with my husband and I am really looking forward to it. It will be the last formal function we will attend where we live so in a way it will be sad as next year we will be moving on to pastures new. However, the pastures new will only be about a 2 hour journey so I will be keeping in touch with lots of the wonderful friends I have made and of course visiting them on a very regular bases..there are two friends in particular that will be fed up with the sight of me I am sure!!!

Have a great week everyone and keep watching for the pictures of the make and takes and the demonstration.

Happy crafting everyone...

Melon Mambo .... mmmmmm

Hello crafters and a very happy Sunday to you all. What a dreary miserable day it is. Autumn is most definitely upon us and wow has it come around quickly.

I decided to make a couple of things this afternoon as there was no way I was heading outside into the cold and damp (I don't do cold and damp I like the hot weather). So out came the crafting stuff onto the dining room table and I found a few things I forgot I had, as well as some new cardstock and ink I was dying to play with. I always think it's lovely to play with old and new together and see what happens. Most of what I was playing with today are now retired products but it's always nice to show what good use these wonderful products can be put to and the amazing creations that can be produced. Also, I am waiting on my starter kit to arrive so as soon as it does, I will be busy using lots of the new products which are available in the new Idea Book & Catalogue

My first make was a bookmark for my youngest daughter. I always hate pointing to the words on the page of her school reading book so I decided I would make her a pretty bookmark. She was thrilled.

Cardstock: Mambo Melon, Whisper White
Stamps: Garden Whimsy
Accessories: Mambo Melon Ribbon(Retired), Designer Brad(Retired)

My second make this afternoon was a beautiful 4 x 4 card for my eldest daughter. She is away at school and every now and then I send her a little something from home so she does not forget us, well that's the idea anyway! I know she will love this card and it will take pride of place in her room. Also what better excuse than to send her something in the post as it will mean I will get a text from her!!

Cardstock: Melon Mambo, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White
DSP: Cottage Wall (Retired)
Stamps: Say it with Scallops(Retired)
Accessories: Melon Mambo Ribbon(Retired), Boho Blossoms Punch, Eyelet Border Punch, Stampin Dimensionals, Silver Brad

If anyone would details on how to make either of the above please feel free to contact me and I will happily help with instructions. Also if you would like to order any of the products (that haven't been retired) that were used please contact me to place an order.

Happy crafting everyone...

Hello and Welcome to my Blog

Hello everyone and welcome to my brand new blog.

At 1230pm today I officially became an Independent Stampin Up Demonstrator for the UK - how exciting is that!!! I am now part of a fantastic company that sells fantastic products and of a team where I hope to be able to contribute a lot to.

Crafting has been part of my life for 6 years and I love it. I started by making simple birth announcement cards for the birth of my youngest daughter and before I knew it I was hooked. However, the only thing I couldn't get to grips with was Stamping!! Well that was until I decided to contact a Stampin Up Demonstrator close to me and she let me play for a morning with her stash!!! That was it I was totally hooked!!! Not only did I place a decent sized order and get to play with the goodies before hand but I made a fantastic friend who I now meet up with regularly and we have the odd day crafting together. Don't you just love crafting and what it can bring to your life.. a wonderful past time, and great friends :)

I am setting myself a goal for the next month to post at least once a week which will include something I have made along with a rough guide on how to produce something similar. Hopefully once I get the hang of this blogging (I'm so not technical) I will post more than once a week.

Also, if anyone is interested in placing an order for any of the beautiful products in the brand new catalogue which went live today, please contact me either by email, phone or just click on the place an order button. I am also available to do workshops at your home where you can invite some friends along and have a great couple of hours of fun where you will learn about the products and make a beautiful creation. When you host a workshop at home, not only will you get a free complimentary catalogue (RRP £5.95), there is the opportunity for you to earn one of the beautiful hostess sets which are not available to buy. Please do get in touch for more information on these fun evenings and if you not in my area I will be more than happy to put you in contact with a demonstrator close to you.

Happy crafting everyone....
